Anne Hathaway has joined the team of The Idea of You, a new fan movie believed to be inspired by Harry Styles. Hathaway will play the lead role in the movie, which is based on Robinne Lee’s one-of-a-kind novel written in 2017. Who will play the Harry-inspired character or the movie release date has not yet been announced.
The Idea of You is the latest addition to the ever-growing Harry Styles cinematic cosmos. Michael Showalter will be the director of the movie. The star is getting ready to play Sophie, a 40-year-old divorced mother. Sophie’s husband, Dan, leaves her for a younger lady and has now canceled a Coachella trip with their 15-year-old daughter. Sophie defies the crowd and the desert heat and takes her daughter to the feast. There, she meets 24-year-old Hayes Campbell, lead singer of the sexiest boy band August Moon. A life-changing weekend leads to a fascinating romance.
The novel is believed to be inspired by Harry, as Hayes is a young British musician who, like the former One Direction musician, is the lead singer of his set. Harry and Hayes share the same taste in the ladies, as the musician is dating Olivia Wilde, who is 10 years older than him.
“This was never supposed to be a book about Harry Styles,” Robinne said earlier. “It’s supposed to be the story of a lady approaching 40, regaining her sexuality and rediscovering herself. Just at a point where society classically erases women as they are wished for, viable, and whole…”
Talking about how she came up with the idea for the book, Robinne said: “A few years ago, my husband was away for work and I was watching music videos on YouTube until late when I came across a child’s face. I had never seen it in a set I hadn’t paid attention to, and it was so aesthetically pleasing that it surprised me. It was about art.”
Robinne added: “I spent about an hour Google trying to find out who this boy was, and in doing so I discovered that he often dates older women, and that’s how the seed was planted.”
Beyond his ties to a famous pop star, the author has also made it clear that he wants readers to focus more on the story of a lady who finds herself after a failed marriage.
