Just as we were talking about Harry Styles, a new trailer from the My Policeman movie has been released.
Amazon Studios has shared a new trailer for the romantic drama My Policeman starring Harry Styles. The trailer, which has been released, takes us through a complicated love triangle involving Styles and the lead actors David Dawson and Emma Corrin.
An adaptation of Bethan Roberts’ 2012 novel, the story follows Styles’ character Tom Burgess, an unknown cop. Since being gay is illegal in Brighton in 1957, Burgess begins dating a teacher named Marion (Corrin), but also has an unknown love interest with a museum curator named Patrick Hazelwood (Dawson).
The movie jumps in the middle of two time periods: the 1950s and 1990s. The cinema navigates a love triangle in the 50s. But 40 years later, Tom and Marion’s relationship becomes even more complicated when Patrick returns to their lives after suffering a stroke.
Gina McKee, Linus Roache and Rupert Everett round out the cast for scenes set in the ’90s. British theater director Michael Grandage is the director of “My Policeman”. The movie was written by “Philadelphia” screenwriter Ron Nyswaner.
Styles’ appearance in this drama will mark his second major movie role this year. Styles is also starring in the movie “Don’t Worry Darling” starring Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh, which will be released on September 23.
“My Policeman” will be released in theaters on October 21 and subsequently available on Prime Image on November 4. The film is produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robbie Rogers, Cora Palfrey and Philip Herd, and executive produced by Grandage, Michael Riley. McGrath and Caroline Levy take charge.
