The first magical full trailer of Netflix’s “The School for Good and Evil” movie has arrived. Based on the best-selling book series by Soman Chainani, the movie centers around best friends Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie) attending a magical school filled with fairy-tale figures.
“Are you trying to tell me that Snow White, Cinderella, Jack, and the Beanstalk are real?” Agatha asks as the couple comes to school. “Our graduates experience real events that turn into stories,” the Headmaster (Laurence Fishburne) tells him.
The girls who live the fairy tales of their dreams, including Captain Hook, the Wicked Witch, and King Arthur, scramble to find their place at the School of Competence and Evil.
On arrival, Sophie is taken to the Evil School, where Lady Lesso (Charlize Theron) trains wicked; Agatha attends the Appropriate School, where Professor Dovey (Kerry Washington) trains the heroes. As Sophie appears to be immersed in Lady Lesso’s world, Agatha begins to worry about the “dangerous evil” in the game.
The headmaster says that only true love’s kiss can send the girls to their rightful school and their fortunes, but a dark figure from Sophie’s past (Kit Young) seems to threaten everything. While Agatha tries to warn her friend that she’s in danger, Sophie insists she loves the new version of herself.
Paul Feig is the director of the movie starring Michelle Yeoh. Feig named the cinema the time of his life in an Instagram post. Referring to stars Theron and Washington, the caption said, “Every day is a real pleasure with these two excellent powerhouses.”
The School for Good and Evil will premiere on Netflix on October 19.
